Selected Written Work

Here's a selection of written work from ATTN:, Salon, The Hollywood Reporter, Variety, Fortune.com, Time.com, and more. Clicking on the image will take you to my author page, while clicking on the "view work" button will take you to one of my favorite pieces written for that publication.

TIME

At Time.com I wrote quick news stories, along with longer reported pieces. I covered everything from allergy season to the gun control debate following the Feb. 14 shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.

Fortune

At Fortune.com I wrote several pieces per day covering, tech, retail, and trade. I'm particularly proud of an explainer I wrote on what the NAFTA negotiations mean for industry, consumers and labor.

Variety

At Variety, I cover film premieres, conferences, and panels with a focus on how entertainment intersects with social movements such as #MeToo and representation in media.

I launched Salon's Innovation section, which focused on science, technology, original thinkers, and innovative musicians. I also covered breaking news and late-night comedy after staff changes.

At ATTN: I was mainly behind the scenes helping staff writers and freelancers craft their work. I did, however, have the chance to write ever once and a while, and I focused on reproductive rights and politics.

My favorite piece for The Hollywood Reporter. I was given the opportunity to interview Gloria Steinem about the HBO documentary "Private Violence," which documents the disturbing reality of domestic abuse.

My Favorite Piece Written in Grad School

In 2012, I wrote a feature about canvassers traveling from New York City to Philadelphia going door to door to get out the vote for President Obama, during the 2012 election.
