"Startup": the Book Everyone in Tech Should Read NOW

Earlier this year, Doree Shafrir, a senior writer at BuzzFeed, published the novel "Startup," about the New York City startup scene—and while the story is fiction, it could have been ripped out of recent tech headlines. (Just in the last week we watched the drama unfurl around the so-called "Google memo," written by a now-former Google employee, which contained strong sexist undertones.)

Shafrir stopped by the ATTN: studio to talk about "Startup," where she got the idea for the book, and what advice she has for both tech CEOs and women who work in tech. Shafrir is as whip-smart and witty as the book, which I've called a "loving send-up" to the industry, and the interview is well worth a listen.
